Más de 286.000 unidades de mercancía de contrabando iba a ser ingresada al país por Buenaventura.
La Policía Nacional, bajo el liderazgo del Director General William Rincón Zambrano, a través de la Dirección de Gestión de Policía Fiscal y Aduanera (POLFA), en el Puerto de Buenaventura se incautó más de 286.000 unidades de mercancía de contrabando.
En coordinación con la DIAN y la Fiscalía adelantó operativo en las zonas portuarias de Buenaventura que permitió la incautación de un contenedor con mercancías de contrabando.
Fueron incutadas más de 286 mil unidades de mercancías consistentes en accesorios de tecnología, marroquinería, confecciones, autopartes, bicicletas, entre otros de procedencia extranjera que no contaban con los documentos que acreditaran su legal ingreso al país.

Golpe al contrabando en Buenaventura:
Según el Mayor, Cesar Augusto Álzate González, Jefe División Control Operativo Buenaventura (E), «Este resultado operativo protege la economía y la industria nacional, al impedir la comercialización de mercancías ingresadas de manera ilegal al país».
Agregó que con este tipo de acciones se busca salvaguarda el recaudo nacional al evitar la evasión de tributos aduaneros y debilita las finanzas de las estructuras criminales dedicadas al contrabando.
