Minjusticia y operadores de telefonía para bloquear señal en las cárceles.
La ministra TIC, Alexandra Falla Zerrate, y el ministro de Justicia y del Derecho, Iván Cancino González, se reunieron con representantes de Claro, WOM y otros operadores móviles para definir alternativas que permitan cerrarle el paso a la delincuencia que opera desde las cárceles a través de celulares y otras comunicaciones no autorizadas.
«Desde prisión no se puede seguir ordenando el delito»
Así lo afirmó en su red social el Ministro Cancino tras la reunión con los operadores y con el fin de implementar medidas para restringir las comunicaciones.
Durante la reunión se plantearon los retos técnicos, jurídicos y operativos que todavía deben resolverse.
Según se informó en un comunicado del MinTic, «La meta es impedir que las personas privadas de la libertad puedan utilizar las redes de comunicaciones para ordenar extorsiones, coordinar acciones criminales o cometer otros delitos desde los establecimientos penitenciarios».

Por su parte, los ministerios TIC y de Justicia evalúan nuevas medidas para enfrentar esta problemática, cuyos detalles serán dados a conocer en los próximos días.
La mesa de trabajo también permitió establecer compromisos para avanzar en soluciones efectivas que fortalezcan el control de las comunicaciones dentro y alrededor de los establecimientos penitenciarios.
Este trabajo se adelanta además de manera articulada con la Policía Nacional y el Ejército Nacional, con el propósito de cerrarle el paso a las estructuras delincuenciales que pretenden seguir operando desde las cárceles.
Con esta articulación, el Ministerio TIC busca alternativas para parar esta práctica, pues desde prisión no se puede seguir ordenando el delito.
