La ministra TIC, Carina Murcia, y el rector de la Universidad de Cartagena, Willian Malkún Castillejo, anunciaron 4.000 cupos para el diplomado en Inteligencia Artificial para el sector público.
El evento reunió a servidores públicos, comunidad estudiantil y directivos de la institución, entre ellos el vicerrector de Aseguramiento de la Calidad, Juan Carlos Vergara, y la directora de Gobierno Digital del Ministerio TIC, Lucy Urón.
Los directivos fueron testigos del anuncio más importante de la jornada: ante la impresionante acogida del programa.
Los cupos se ampliarán de 3.000 a 4.000, garantizando que más funcionarios y contratistas del país puedan acceder a esta oportunidad de formación digital.
La MinTic, Carina Murcia, afirmó «Cuando me dijeron que había sido un éxito total el diplomado y que, si había opción de ampliarlo, le dije que sí, que sería interesantísimo, y hoy vamos a llegar a 4.000 cupos».

Además la MinTic indicó «Hoy damos un paso firme a un estado más moderno y eficiente, para que los servidores públicos se formen con un enfoque claro: poner la tecnología al servicio de la ciudadanía”.
La primera fase del proceso de inscripciones demostró la alta demanda de este tipo de iniciativas.

Los 3.000 cupos iniciales se agotaron en menos de 24 horas, lo que ratifica el interés del sector público por adquirir habilidades en Inteligencia Artificial, y valida la visión del Ministerio TIC y la Universidad de Cartagena de acercar la innovación tecnológica a la gestión estatal.
