Durante una sesión del Concejo Municipal de Tunja, la alcaldesa encargada advirtió sobre presuntas irregularidades en la ejecución del contrato de obra pública No. 1767 de 2025, suscrito por la administración municipal para la intervención de infraestructura vial, parques, salones comunales e instituciones educativas en distintos sectores de la ciudad.
El contrato, según lo expuesto en el cabildo, tendría un valor superior a los 15 mil millones de pesos y contemplaría la ejecución de múltiples frentes de obra en diferentes barrios, con el objetivo de mejorar la movilidad y la infraestructura comunitaria. De acuerdo con la información presentada por la mandataria, se habría realizado un giro anticipado cercano a los 14 mil millones de pesos, situación que genera preocupación frente a las garantías financieras que respaldan la inversión pública. Asimismo, la funcionaria señaló que se han identificado presuntos incumplimientos contractuales, entre ellos retrasos en la ejecución, obras sin iniciar, deterioro en intervenciones ya realizadas y falta de informes de interventoría.
La administración municipal también indicó que existe preocupación por la ausencia de respuestas del contratista ante los requerimientos de supervisión y seguimiento técnico de las obras. Según lo manifestado en el Concejo, la situación también ha sido puesta en conocimiento de la ciudadanía y de representantes de Juntas de Acción Comunal, quienes han exigido claridad sobre el avance de los proyectos.
Ante este panorama, la alcaldesa encargada advirtió que no se descartan acciones jurídicas, fiscales y administrativas para determinar responsabilidades y proteger los recursos públicos del municipio.
El caso se mantiene en evaluación por parte de la administración municipal, mientras se espera la entrega de informes técnicos y jurídicos que permitan esclarecer el estado real del contrato y definir posibles medidas frente a eventuales incumplimientos, en medio de un llamado a la transparencia, el control institucional y la vigilancia ciudadana sobre el uso de los recursos públicos en la capital boyacense. en el departamento de Boyacá.
