Gracias a un trabajo coordinado entre la Policía Nacional, el Ejército Nacional y la Fiscalía General de la Nación, fue localizado y destruido un laboratorio clandestino utilizado para la producción de cocaína.
En un operativo articulado entre la Seccional de Investigación Criminal (SIJIN), el Grupo de Operaciones Especiales (GOES), el Ejército Nacional y la Fiscalía, se logró ubicar y destruir un laboratorio clandestino para el procesamiento de clorhidrato de cocaína en zona rural del municipio de Samaniego.
El complejo ilegal, ubicado en la vereda Maraguay, tenía capacidad para producir aproximadamente 2.000 kilogramos de estupefacientes al mes, lo que representaba rentas criminales superiores a 500 millones de pesos para la estructura conocida como Autodefensas Unidas de Nariño (AUN).
Durante la operación se logró la captura en flagrancia de 11 personas y la recuperación de un menor de edad, quien fue puesto a disposición de la Policía de Infancia y Adolescencia para el restablecimiento de sus derechos.
En el lugar fueron incautados más de 250 kilogramos de clorhidrato de cocaína, así como insumos y equipos empleados en el proceso de producción: hornos microondas, prensas, recipientes de almacenamiento, electrobombas y grandes cantidades de sustancias químicas controladas como ácido sulfúrico, permanganato de potasio, soda cáustica y bicarbonato.
La destrucción del laboratorio se realizó mediante procedimientos de vertimiento, disolución e incineración, garantizando la neutralización total de su capacidad de producción.
Con este resultado, la Policía Nacional afecta de manera directa la estructura financiera del narcotráfico en Nariño y ratifica su compromiso de trabajar de manera articulada con las Fuerzas Militares y la Fiscalía en la lucha frontal contra el crimen organizado.
