Estudio de la Defensoría del Pueblo, ¿40 años de vulneración de derechos?.
Hoy Colombia recordó una de las peores tragedias naturales y que desapareció Armero tras la erupción del Volcán Nevado del Ruiz hace 40año, la Defensoría del Pueblo en cabeza de Iris Marín, exhortó al Estado colombiano a reconocer la responsabilidad que pudo haber tenido en la prevención de la tragedia.
Marín en la presentación del informe sostuvo que lo que pasó en Armero fue un desplazamiento forzado por desastre y que se ha prolongado en cuanto a los daño que sufrieron las personas por los 40 años transcurridos.
«Se necesita una ley que reconozca el desplazamiento forzado pro desastre y generar políticas públicas de prevención»
Según la Defensoría del Pueblo, «hasta la actualidad continúa afectando a familias que desconocen el paradero de sus parientes»
Agregó que Colombia está en deuda con los armeritas que sobrevivieron y habló de los retos que aún se tiene como atender y reconocer el daño desde una perspectiva de derechos humanos.
