La Embajada de la India en Colombia donó 346 libros a la Biblioteca Pública Julio Mario Santo Domingo
La Biblioteca Pública Julio Mario Santo Domingo, en la localidad de Suba, recibió una donación de 346 libros por parte de la Embajada de la India en Colombia.
Esta iniciativa fue gestionada a través de la Oficina de Internacionalización de la Alcaldía Local de Suba y la entrega contó con la participación de representantes de la Alcaldía Local de Suba, la Embajada de la India y la Red de Bibliotecas Públicas de Bogotá.
La colección incluye materiales sobre poesía, historia, biografías, lugares emblemáticos, religión, botánica y diferentes aspectos de la cultura, la sociedad y el pensamiento de la India.
La Embajada de India entregó ejemplares que se encuentran en inglés y 60 títulos están destinados al público infantil, ampliando así las posibilidades de acceso a contenidos en otros idiomas para los usuarios de BibloRed.
«Esta donación representa una oportunidad para que la ciudadanía se acerque a la riqueza cultural, histórica y literaria de la India»
Andrea Victorino, directora de Lectura y Bibliotecas de la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte y BibloRed, expresó «celebramos estos intercambios, que fortalecen la cooperación internacional y promueven el diálogo entre culturas a través de los libros».
Esta donación promueve una nueva oportunidad para fortalecer los lazos de cooperación y diálogo intercultural entre India y Colombia.
Embajada de Indisa en Colombia llegó a BibloRed
La jornada estuvo acompañada por muestras dancísticas propias de la India y presentaciones de danzas de la región Andina colombiana, como una muestra de la diversidad cultural y del encuentro entre ambas tradiciones.
«Ven a Suba es una estrategia que busca que el mundo ponga sus ojos en nuestra localidad»
César Salamanca, alcalde local de Suba, «recibir estos ejemplares por parte de un país asiatico es una respuesta a esta visión por la que hemos trabajado durante los dos últimos años para que los vecis tengan espacios donde enriquecer su conocimiento y seguir apropiándose de su territorio».
Tras el evento de entrega, los libros serán incorporados a la colección general de la Red. Una vez finalizado este proceso, los materiales estarán disponibles para consulta y préstamo por parte de la ciudadanía. Con esta donación de ejemplares de cultura de la India, a la Biblioteca Pública Julio Mario Santo Domingo continuará ampliando el acceso a contenidos diversos y promoviendo el encuentro entre comunidades, saberes y culturas.
