La construcción del nuevo Centro Administrativo de Sogamoso continúa avanzando y se consolida como una de las obras más importantes para el desarrollo institucional de la ciudad. Así lo dio a conocer el alcalde Mauricio Barón Granados durante un recorrido por el proyecto que se ejecuta en el sector de la Plaza 6 de Septiembre.
Según explicó el mandatario, la iniciativa busca recuperar la institucionalidad perdida tras la demolición del antiguo edificio administrativo en 2019. Desde entonces, la Administración Municipal ha debido operar en diferentes sedes arrendadas, situación que ha representado un gasto cercano a los 10.000 millones de pesos para las finanzas del municipio.
La nueva infraestructura tendrá una inversión aproximada de 43.000 millones de pesos, financiados mediante recursos propios y una operación de crédito público. El proyecto contempla dos torres, una de 11 pisos y otra de cuatro niveles, con más de 11.000 metros cuadrados de construcción.
Actualmente avanzan las obras del sótano donde funcionarán los parqueaderos subterráneos. Posteriormente se desarrollará la estructura principal del edificio, que incorporará tecnología bioclimática, sistemas de aislamiento térmico y acústico, así como modernos espacios para la atención ciudadana.
Uno de los principales beneficios será la concentración de múltiples servicios en un mismo lugar. En la primera planta operará un gran centro de atención al ciudadano que permitirá realizar trámites de diferentes dependencias sin necesidad de desplazarse entre varias oficinas.
El complejo también contará con salas de reuniones, oficinas para el Concejo Municipal y un auditorio con capacidad para 400 personas destinado a eventos institucionales y comunitarios.
La obra genera actualmente más de 30 empleos directos y se espera que durante las etapas de mayor ejecución alcance cerca de 150 puestos de trabajo. Además, gran parte de los materiales y servicios contratados provienen de empresas de Sogamoso y la región, impulsando la economía local.
