La alcaldesa encargada de Tunja, María Paula Jiménez Gómez, ordenó la suspensión inmediata de todos los trámites y actuaciones relacionadas con procesos contractuales, presupuestales y tesorales dentro de la administración municipal, mientras avanza el proceso de empalme administrativo tras su reciente designación.
La decisión fue oficializada mediante una circular conjunta expedida por la Unidad Especial de Contratación Estatal y el Departamento Administrativo de Hacienda Pública, documento dirigido a todas las dependencias del nivel central de la Alcaldía.
La medida comenzó a regir de manera inmediata y tendrá carácter temporal. Según lo establecido en la comunicación oficial, la suspensión busca permitir una revisión detallada de los procesos internos por parte de la nueva administración, teniendo en cuenta que Jiménez Gómez asumió como alcaldesa encargada mediante el Decreto 339 de 2026 y ahora ejerce funciones como ordenadora del gasto del municipio.
La disposición afecta directamente la expedición de certificados y registros presupuestales, así como el trámite de cuentas, pagos, desembolsos y demás actuaciones financieras y contractuales que normalmente adelantan las distintas dependencias de la administración municipal.
No obstante, la circular aclara que sí podrán adelantarse actuaciones relacionadas con obligaciones prioritarias, situaciones de urgencia o compromisos legales inaplazables.
En esos casos, será necesaria la autorización previa y expresa de la alcaldesa encargada para continuar con los respectivos trámites.
