Más de 1.700 niños de algunos municipios de Antioquia participaron en una jornada ambiental que permitió la recolección de 5.3 toneladas de material reciclable, en el marco de una iniciativa que promueve la educación ambiental y el aprovechamiento responsable de los residuos desde la infancia.
Y es que el deporte y la sostenibilidad volvieron a marcar un gol a favor de las comunidades del Valle de Aburrá, gracias a la estrategia Eco Campeones, liderada por las alcaldías de Bello, Sabaneta, Caldas y Copacabana en alianza con Interaseo y sus sociedades del valle de Aburra , donde 1.714 niños que participan en el clasificatorio del Baby Fútbol recibieron sus uniformes oficiales tras sumarse a esta iniciativa que promueve la cultura del reciclaje y el respeto por el medio ambiente.
«La recolección de más de cinco toneladas de material reciclable es una muestra de que las familias y los niños del Valle de Aburrá están dispuestos a asumir un papel protagónico en la construcción de territorios más sostenibles. Donde cada costal de reciclaje entregado representó mucho más que material aprovechable, fue un mensaje de compromiso, responsabilidad y amor por el medio ambiente por parte de cientos de niños y sus familias”, indicó Paula Sierra, Gerente de las Sociedades de Interaseo en Antioquia.
Para recibir su uniforme, cada participante entregó dos costales de material aprovechable, demostrando que el compromiso con el planeta también se construye desde las nuevas generaciones.
La jornada contó con una destacada participación de los municipios del Valle de Aburrá. En Bello se recolectaron 2.880 kilogramos de material reciclable y se entregaron 1.120 uniformes; en Copacabana se recibieron 1.235 kilogramos y se distribuyeron 360 uniformes; mientras que en Caldas se recolectaron 1.209 kilogramos y se entregaron 234 uniformes y aún falta la jornada del municipio de Sabaneta que se hará en los próximos días.
Se recolectaron 5.324 kilogramos de reciclaje, evitando que estos residuos terminaran contaminando el entorno y en la actividad se fomentaron prácticas responsables en los hogares.
Esta iniciativa demuestra que cuando el deporte, la educación ambiental y el trabajo en equipo se unen, es posible formar ciudadanos comprometidos con el cuidado de su territorio y construir un futuro más sostenible para todos.
