En un esfuerzo por proteger a los animales, Bogotá lanzó el Bloque de Atención y Rescate (BAR). Este nuevo equipo, una colaboración entre el Instituto Distrital de Protección y Bienestar Animal (IDPYBA) y TransMilenio, se enfoca en combatir la explotación animal en el sistema de transporte público. El director del IDPYBA, Antonio Hernández Llamas, explicó que el equipo se formó siguiendo instrucciones directas del alcalde.
