El Ministro de Defensa, Pedro Sánchez, y el preisdnete de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, ordenaron el despliegue de más de 300 hombres al Cañón del Micay, en el Cauac y vayan tras los cabecillas de las disidencias al mando de Alias Iván Mordisco.
La Fuerza de Despliegue Rápido llegaron a zona rural de El Tambo, Cauca, para posicionarse estratégicamente en veredas y corregimientos como Huisitó, Honduras y Nayita.
El objetivo es cerrar el paso a las disidencias de Iván Mordisco y bloquear los corredores de movilidad del grupo armado organizado residual Estructura Carlos Patiño, el cual responde a las órdenes de alias Zamora.
Este cabecilla es integrante del Bloque Occidental Jacobo Arenas del Estado Mayor Central y disidencias de las FARC al mando de alias Iván Mordisco.
