Este 2 de enero de 2026, las calles de la capital nariñense se llenarán de color, ternura y esperanza con la realización del tradicional Carnavalito, una de las expresiones más emblemáticas del Carnaval de Negros y Blancos. En esta edición, el evento celebra 60 años de historia, consolidándose como el semillero cultural que garantiza la continuidad de la máxima fiesta de los pastusos.
La jornada iniciará a las 10:00 de la mañana y contará con la participación de 1.800 niños, niñas y adolescentes, provenientes de instituciones educativas municipales, colegios y fundaciones, quienes representan la “nueva sangre” y el relevo generacional del Carnaval. Ellos serán los protagonistas de un desfile cargado de creatividad, tradición y amor por el patrimonio cultural.
El Carnavalito 2026 tendrá 60 motivos distribuidos en diversas modalidades que reflejan meses de trabajo y dedicación: murguitas infantiles, colectivos coreográficos, comparsas y las tradicionales minicarrocitas, verdaderas obras de arte a escala que evidencian la herencia artesanal transmitida de padres a hijos y de abuelos a nietos.
El recorrido será de aproximadamente 3 kilómetros, iniciando en el Parque Ambiental Rumipamba y finalizando en el Estadio Departamental Libertad, donde los pequeños artistas demostrarán por qué el Carnaval de Negros y Blancos de Pasto es considerado uno de los mejores del mundo.
Es importante destacar que el Carnavalito es una de las modalidades participativas y no concursales del Carnaval. Esto significa que no existen premios ni puestos, ya que su esencia radica en el goce estético, el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural y la formación de los futuros cultores, preservando la tradición lejos de la presión competitiva.
