La Federación Nacional de Avicultores de Colombia (Fenavi) y la Asociación de Bancos de Alimentos de Colombia (ABACO) anunciaron la continuidad de Pollo Shares 2025, y la campaña ‘Cambiando la Tendencia’, un esfuerzo nacional que convierte la pasión por la gastronomía en redes sociales en ayuda alimentaria concreta.
Este año, la iniciativa donará más de 375 mil raciones de pollo, equivalentes a 20 toneladas de proteína de alta calidad, que beneficiarán a 2.500 niños en 14 ciudades del país. Desde su creación en 2019, Pollo Shares ha entregado cerca de 77 toneladas de pollo, con un acumulado de 1.5 millones de raciones distribuidas a 4.470 niños y niñas en riesgo de desnutrición.
“Cada plato de comida representa una oportunidad de crecer y desarrollarse plenamente. Con Pollo Shares queremos asegurar que más niños tengan esa oportunidad, gracias al poder de la solidaridad de nuestra industria”, señaló Gonzalo Moreno, presidente ejecutivo de Fenavi.

El impacto del programa se logra gracias al trabajo articulado con los 26 bancos de alimentos de ABACO, que, junto a comedores comunitarios, hogares infantiles, fundaciones y centros educativos, aseguran que cada ración llegue a quienes más lo necesitan. Todo bajo un modelo de trazabilidad y cadena de frío que garantiza la calidad del producto.
El pollo es una de las proteínas más aceptadas en todas las regiones del país por ser nutritivo, económico y versátil, aportando proteínas de alto valor biológico, vitaminas (B3, B6 y B12) y minerales esenciales para el desarrollo físico y cognitivo de la niñez.
Uno de los aprendizajes más valiosos de Pollo Shares ha sido la consistencia en las entregas: durante cinco años se ha mantenido un suministro mensual a un mismo grupo de niños, lo que ha permitido evidenciar un impacto real en su desarrollo a largo plazo. Este modelo de continuidad se plantea como referente para otras iniciativas de seguridad alimentaria en el país.
