El Instituto Distrital de Protección y Bienestar Animal (IDPYBA) abre una nueva convocatoria para caninos y felinos. Conozca las fechas, requisitos y el paso a paso para agendar su cita en las diferentes localidades de la capital.
Con el objetivo de controlar la sobrepoblación animal y garantizar la salud de los animales de compañía en la capital, la Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá, a través del Instituto Distrital de Protección y Bienestar Animal (IDPYBA), habilitó más de 10.000 cupos gratuitos de esterilización para perros y gatos durante todo el mes de septiembre.
Esta jornada masiva está dirigida prioritariamente a familias de estratos 1, 2 y 3, así como a proteccionistas y cuidadores de animales en condición de calle. Las intervenciones quirúrgicas se llevarán a cabo tanto en la Unidad de Cuidado Animal (UCA) como en las unidades móviles que recorrerán las diferentes localidades de Bogotá.
Requisitos para Acceder a la Esterilización Gratuita
Para acceder a uno de los cupos ofertados por el IDPYBA, los propietarios o cuidadores deben cumplir con los siguientes puntos:
Documentación: Copia de la cédula de ciudadanía del responsable y un recibo público (agua, luz o gas) de estrato 1, 2 o 3 no mayor a dos meses de antigüedad.
Edad del animal: Caninos y felinos deben tener entre 4 meses y 8 años de edad.
Estado de salud: La mascota debe estar en buen estado de salud general y cumplir con un ayuno de 8 horas para alimento sólido y 3 horas para líquidos antes de la cirugía.
Poblaciones especiales: Animales braquicefálicos (chatos como pugs, bulldogs o gatos persas) no son aptos para estas jornadas masivas debido a riesgos anestésicos específicos y requieren atención especializada.
