Más de 28.000 habitantes del sector y miles de estudiantes que transitan diariamente por el Parque Piloto de Suba serán los principales beneficiados de una jornada comunitaria de recuperación ambiental con una iniciativa ciudadana que buscó intervenir uno de los espacios públicos más representativos de la UPZ Tibabuyes mediante actividades de limpieza, reciclaje y educación ambiental.
La jornada iniciativa de Culligan Colombia, adquiere relevancia en una localidad como Suba, donde viven más de 1,3 millones de personas, y cuyos parques cumplen un papel fundamental como escenarios de integración, recreación y deporte.
Ubicado en el corazón de la UPZ Tibabuyes, entre los sectores de Villamaría, Sabana de Tibabuyes y Compartir, el Parque Piloto se encuentra rodeado por más de quince instituciones educativas, razón por la cual miles de niños y jóvenes lo utilizan diariamente como corredor peatonal, escenario deportivo y espacio de encuentro comunitario.

Con la iniciativa se intervino uno de los espacios públicos más representativos de la UPZ Tibabuyes mediante actividades de limpieza, reciclaje y educación ambiental, alrededor de un objetivo común: demostrar que pequeñas acciones colectivas pueden generar grandes transformaciones para el entorno y la calidad de vida de la comunidad.
«La recuperación de un parque no termina cuando se recoge el último residuo. El verdadero cambio ocurre cuando la comunidad se apropia de ese espacio, lo protege y lo convierte en un lugar de encuentro para las familias, los niños y los jóvenes. Ese es el tipo de transformación que genera un impacto duradero en la ciudad», señala Felipe Roldán, gerente general de Culligan Colombia, empresa que lidera la jornada.

Además de la limpieza del entorno, la actividad contempló un espacio pedagógico sobre separación de residuos, economía circular y cuidado del agua. Los materiales reciclables recuperados adicionalmente fueron entregados a un reciclador de oficio, fortaleciendo el aprovechamiento de los residuos y reconociendo el papel que este sector desempeña dentro de la gestión ambiental de la ciudad.
