Tumaco no solo es sinónimo de mar y tradición: hoy es también ejemplo de resiliencia, innovación y desarrollo sostenible. Es por esto que el próximo jueves 2 de octubre a las 5:00 p.m., el Museo El Chicó (Carrera 7 # 93–01, Casa Parque, Bogotá) será escenario de “Vivir Tumaco”, un encuentro experiencial diseñado para periodistas, líderes de opinión y público interesado en el desarrollo territorial.
Este evento permitirá conocer, degustar y vivir las historias que están transformando la cadena de valor camaronera del Pacífico colombiano, gracias al proyecto Alianza Camarón de Tumaco, financiado por la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) en Colombia, e impulsado por la Red Nacional de Agencias de Desarrollo Local de Colombia (Red Adelco).
“El Camarón de Tumaco no es solo un producto premium que llega a nuevos mercados. Es la evidencia de que las comunidades pueden resignificar su territorio y generar paz y progreso a través de la economía local”, destacó Carlos Callejas, Director ejecutivo de la Red Adelco.

Una historia que inspira: del conflicto a la esperanza
El proyecto reúne a 176 familias productoras, de las cuales: 140 son mujeres, 16 son jóvenes, 2 pertenecen a comunidades indígenas, 127 son víctimas del conflicto armado. A ellas se suman 100 familias dedicadas a la larvicultura y el procesamiento del camarón, quienes han fortalecido sus capacidades técnicas y mejorado los estándares de calidad para ofrecer un producto premium que ya conquista los mercados regionales y nacionales.
“La cooperación española ha acompañado a las comunidades de Tumaco en su camino hacia un desarrollo más inclusivo, sostenible y con enfoque de paz. Este proyecto demuestra que cuando se fortalecen las capacidades locales y se apuesta por cadenas de valor responsables, los territorios pueden transformar su futuro”, afirmó Miguel González Guillón, Coordinador General de la Cooperación Española en Colombia.
